Bill Shannon went to his first race in 1949 at Glen Este
Speedway in Glen Este, Ohio which was just a few blocks from
his home. After some time off Bill and Wanda attended
Northern Kentucky Speedway (Florence) and were hooked
again. They were both very involved in C.A.R. Fan Club and
Bill served as the clubs President. Bill also served as a flagman
at Brown County Ohio, Lawrenceburg Indiana, Whitewater
Valley (Union County), Indiana, Tri County(Queen City)
Ohio, Springfield Ohio, and Florence Kentucky Speedways.
They are both great race fans and wouldn't change a thing.
They have made thousands of friends and wouldn't trade that
for the World. Bill and Wanda Shannon have been married
since October 9th, 1954. They have 2 children. Terri, and
Chuck. They also have 4 Grandchildren. More photos and full

FAVORITE TRACK: Tri County Speedway West Chester,
FAVORITE RACE: Love to many to pick one.
FAVORITE DRIVER: I could never just pick one. I made so
many great friends it wouldn't be fair to pick.
Memorable Moment: I guess I will never forget getting Hit
and blinded in one eye by a rock flagging at Florence
Speedway in Union, KY, all the friends Wanda and I have
made, and all the great racing.
ANYTHING YOU WOULD CHANGE: I wouldn't change a
thing. Think about how far it has come.
