Keltner, Lee, Wilson, and Thompson Top Track Championship Chase for ‘06
Bardstown, KY-January 2007- With the 2006 racing season now a memory, the first edition
of “Showtime!” will review the four drivers that earned track championship driving titles at
Bluegrass Speedway in Bardstown, KY. The ½ mile high-banked clay oval completed its
12th season of competition with the completion of the ’06 season.

Also winning special awards at season’s end were Late Model racer Michael Watson of
Campbellsville, KY, as this second-generation racer would garner the honor of winning the
2006 Norman Copley Late Model Rookie of the Year award. In the Modified division, a
pair of racers would tie for the 2006 Modified Rookie of the Year award, as Raffo Elmore
of Bardstown, KY and Rocky Wilson of Hodgenville, KY would tie in final points for this
honor. Also, Kevin Wilson was voted the JP Pro Seal Piston Rings Sportsman of the Year
by his fellow drivers at the Championship Awards Banquet back in November.
The 2007 racing season will begin in April, with an open practice on Saturday April 14,
while the ’07 Season Opener will take place on Saturday April 21.
